Company Overview

Art & Science Research Center ("as" for short) is at the forefront of fostering transformative change through interdisciplinary collaboration. As the first of its kind in the country, the center is dedicated to creating a platform for scientific artists to conduct research and innovation. It aims to facilitate a deep integration across different academic disciplines, combining creation with dissemination to promote the widespread popularization of scientific knowledge among the general public.

Role & Contribution

As a researcher and designer, I interviewed Julia Schwarz, a pioneer in applying lichen in foods, and contributed to the "Mook: Lichens" publication; assisted in a collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund on a sustainable energy exhibition; and coordinated with the Embassy of Canada to China on a related exhibition and campaign, serving as a translator for the Canadian Ambassador.

Exhibition Collaboration With World Wildlife Fund

Initiated exhibition installation and graphic design collaboration with World Wildlife Fund on Powered By Nature • Powering The Future Exhibition. Proposal of two installation concepts, both aiming to provide a visual aid for the audience regarding sustainable energy and planet-friendly materials.

Interview & Research For Pulication

I had the honor of researching and interviewing Julia Schwarz, a key figure in the cross-disciplinary art and design industry, pioneering the application of lichen in consumer foods. Therefore, edited and authored articles for published books: Mook: Lichens. After the interview, I authored and published an article based on her work and experience.

Translate For Exhibition

Coordinated with the Embassy of Canada to China on exhibition and social media campaign and served as translator to Canadian Ambassador to China, for Mrs. Jennifer May to have a more profound understanding of the concepts and scientific background of the exhibition: A Scientific World with Fancy Ideas. Thus, establishing a connection with the Embassy of Canada for future collaborations.
